Code of Conduct

Santa Maria is for everyone who comes to dance. That only works if everybody is safe.

Zero tolerance

We remove people — with no refund, and with the police involved where a crime has been committed — for:

• harassment of any kind, including unwanted touching, following, filming people without consent, and persistent unwanted attention;
• discrimination or abuse based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, body size or age;
• violence or threats of violence;
• spiking drinks or drugging anyone, in any way;
• damaging the venue or endangering other people.

Getting help on the night

• Speak to any member of staff — our team wears [STAFF IDENTIFIER] and venue security is at every entrance.
• Ask for the welfare point. It is staffed all night and you do not need a reason to use it.
• If you feel unsafe and cannot get to staff, tell the bar.

Reporting afterwards

Email hello@partysantamaria.com or use the contact form and choose "Report an incident". Reports go to a small, named group of people, are treated confidentially, and we will acknowledge yours within 3 days. You can report anonymously, though it limits what we can do.

What we do about reports

We take an account from everyone involved, keep the reporter informed as far as we can, and act: that ranges from a warning to a permanent ban from every Santa Maria event, and to supporting a police investigation.

Our staff

The same standard applies to our team, DJs and guests. If any of them break this code, tell us and we will act — including cancelling a booking.
