Accessibility Statement
Version 0.2 · Effective 13 September 2026
Our target
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA across this website. Accessibility is tested as part of every release: automated checks run in our build pipeline, and we check keyboard-only use, screen reader output and 200% zoom by hand before shipping.
What we have done
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring that stays visible on every background we use.
- Colour is never the only way we tell you something — errors carry an icon and plain-language text as well.
- Text contrast meets AA. Small text on our red pages is always black, which is where our colour rules come from.
- Motion is optional: if your device is set to reduce motion, the scrolling animations, the marquee and the glitch effect do not run, and everything remains usable.
- The site works at 320px wide and at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- Moving content — like the announcement bar — can be paused.
- Form fields have real labels, and errors are announced to screen readers and linked to the field.
Known limitations
- Event posters supplied by artists are described with alt text we write ourselves; a poster whose artwork carries essential information will also have that information in text on the page.
- Third-party payment forms (Square) are embedded during checkout, and we depend on those providers for their accessibility.
- Embedded video and maps load only when you ask them to, and their players are outside our control.
Venue accessibility
Website accessibility is not the same as getting into a party. Each event page lists what we know about the venue — step-free access, accessible toilets, seating, and whether a personal assistant can come free of charge. If the information you need is missing, email us before you buy and we will find out.
Tell us about a barrier
Email hello@partysantamaria.com with the page or the event and what went wrong. We aim to reply within 5 working days and to fix accessibility bugs ahead of other work.
